International philanthropic figures are set to meet in Kuala Lumpur to discuss how the global economic crisis has affected philanthropic activities and corporate social responsibility. The conference, entitled "Enhancing the Role of Philanthropy in Challenging Times", is also aimed at strengthening philanthropic initiatives to address the consequences of the crisis.

The Mongolian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was recently organized by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the UNDP. Participants included representatives of Mongolia's business sector, civil society, academic community and NGOs, who discussed issues related to CSR initiatives undertaken by the Mongolian companies.

The Awakening the Dreamer Initiative will run its symposium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, soon.
