Energy Company Goes Full Force in Education Print E-mail

Malaysian energy giant, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, are giving students sponsored by their foundation, Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN - Tenaga Nasional Foundation), the opportunity to help with the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. According to a news report, YTN Director, Azman Zakaria, said this is to expose students to the practicalities of  what they have learnt, particularly in corporate social science.

CIMB Provides Shelter For Migrant Workers Print E-mail

CIMB Niaga has set up a shelter for female migrant workers in Kuala Lumpur recently. Launching the shelter was Indonesia's Manpower and Transmigration Minister, Muhaimin Iskandar. The shelter, the result of collaboration between CIMB Niaga and the Indonesian embassy in Kuala Lumpur,provides temporary accommodation and food for Indonesian female migrant workers facing hardship, such as being cheated by employment agencies or abused by their employers.

Genting Contributes RM50,000 For My Kasih Programme Print E-mail

Genting Malaysia Berhad was reported to have recently contributed RM50,000 to 50 families around the Bentong area for the MyKasih Love my Neighbourhood Programme. Genting's senior vice-president (public relations and communications), Datuk Anthony Yeo, was reported to have said that the welfare programme was aimed at developing and aiding needy and poor families as well as a part of the company's corporate social responsibility.
