CSR has become an important part of the corporate agenda all over the world. In recent years, more and more companies realize that they need to manage and nurture their environmental and social performance as much as their financial performance. Enhancement of the quality of life will inevitably deliver equitable returns in many forms.
The conference will cover important issues in the CSR Agenda which also fall within the ambit of Corporate Governance disclosure as provided for under the CSR Reporting Requirement for listed companies on Bursa Malaysia.
The conference, to be held on 11th and 12th March 2009, is organized by OWW Consulting in partnership with the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG) and the Federation of Public Listed Companies Berhad (FPLC) and will be held at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur.
The conference is supported by the Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia and the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). The Award Ceremony will feature a Special Regulatory Address by Ybhg Dato' Sri Zarinah Anwar Chairman of the Securities Commission.
