Two government linked companies, Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MSBB) and Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas), plan to expand their community-based corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes in Sabah and Sarawak of Malaysia during Ramadan month. MBSB chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali, said this was the two government-linked companies had jointly launched a programme, Korporat Penyayang (K-Penyayang) as part of their CSR.

Aside from this, MBSB also runs a Home Safety Campaign, which received recognition by the Prime Minister's Department. MBSB also contributes towards the improvement in education, particularly, in the rural areas.
