Growing Demand For CSR In The Community Print E-mail
Friday, 20 November 2009
An increase in the demand for greater corporate participation in the community is expected. According to Second Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Husni Hanadzlah, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is expected to become an integral policy within the corporate decision-making process. Husni said this in a keynote address at the 33rd anniversary dinner of Kelab Asian Institute of Management Malaysia. He added that, as such, CSR will eventually not be managed by and budgeted from corporate communication department.

News reports quote Husni as saying, "Our biggest challenge of all would be the development of human capital as demand will be more than supply."
