SEB to gain most from SCORE Print E-mail

Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) has the most to gain from the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (Score) as it has already signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) valued at close to RM100bil, TA Securities said. In a report yesterday, the research house said it was not surprised that the thrust of the development would be on the “cheap energy that Sarawak has''.

According to TA, Score would eventually boost Sarawak’s electricity generation capacity to 28,000 MW from about 900 MW now.

“That is bigger than the 22,000 MW combined installed capacity in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah, and the initial indications are SEB would have a stake in each of these new power projects,” it said.
