One of Middle East's media organisations, Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), launched its own Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department recently. The department began its duties by visiting a children’s ward for cancer, kidney failure, and surgical cases at Dubai Hospital. The DMI delegation comprised television presenters its employees, all of whom successfully lifted the spirits of the children by spending time with them and distributing gifts to them. DMI's CSR manager, Mariam Al Mur Bin Huraiz, was quoted as saying, “DMI continually seeks to reach out to all segments of the society through maintaining open communication channels that bring joy to the hearts of those most in need of a smile. All our activities are built around the thought that every small step to alleviate the suffering of less privileged people makes a significant difference and will eventually contribute to creating a fulfilling experience for all those involved in the endeavour.” |
