RHB Bank presents CSR booklet outlining Crime Prevention Tips for Kids Print E-mail

The RHB banking group yesterday visited two schools here for a presentation on its corporate social responsibility (CSR) booklet Crime Prevention Tips for Kids.

The 12-page booklet, which contains a series of do's and don'ts that children can follow to ensure their own safety when out of sight of their parents, guardians or teachers, is a result of efforts by the banking group with the cooperation and guidance of the Royal Malaysian Police and is endorsed by the Education Ministry.

Locally listed companies perform poorly in CSR Print E-mail

Survey results show that 11.5% are in the poor category, 28.5% below average and 27.5% in the average category.

LOCALLY listed corporations are far behind international standards when it comes to implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices, with nearly two-thirds of those surveyed ranking between poor and average categories.

Bursa Malaysia Bhd's CEO Datuk Yusli Mohamed Yusoff said the 2007 CSR survey undertaken by the exchange revealed that listed companies showed poor understanding
and lack of awareness in incorporating CSR policies and disclosures in their daily business operations.

HP Releases FY07 Global Citizenship Report Print E-mail

HP has issued its 2007 Global Citizenship Report and a list of its largest suppliers. The report was released 3 years ahead of schedule. It claims HP has met its target to reduce annual energy consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions of its operations and products by each year to 20% below 2005 levels by 2010.
